Winter Survival: Finding Water, Eating Snow Vs Ice (Wilderness Survival Skills)

Hypothermia is a real issue when we find ourselves in a winter survival situation, also dehydration is a major implication. It is a thin line between eating snow to rehydrate yourself and becoming hypothermic from ingesting the snow

    Eating snow can actually be a great way to lower your body temperature. It is better to burn the calories eating snow than to die because you let yourself sweat. You have to find that happy medium.

    Do not every eat snow people! It causes blisters in your mouth and can lower your core temp. start a fire and melt it down

    every Bushcraft channels I have scene always suggest having atleast some kind of metal container you can boil water in (a can, a metal bottle, something), a way to start fire, some kind of rope or string and a knife.
