My group built a watchtower addition to our roof, and we designed the staircase to fit 43 of these Water Bricks. The design of these "Bricks" allowed us to cut out shooting slits (similar to castle arrow slits) into the tower so that we wasted no space, gained more portable water options, and added ballistic protection/fighting positions.

I love these "Bricks". We plan on purchasing more and practice building quick, mobile fighting positions or LP/OPs. by filling with sand. Better than sand bags for speed of construction/deconstruction.

These would be great as the first layer in the back of your SUV or pick up with plywood on top to shade from sunlight and to protect from gear loaded on top.

Any info on fuel storage for these ? Definitely stronger than the avg plastic ones.

These look like a really good idea. The only fault I could see might be expense. They stack well, they're quite man-portable, and they conform relatively well to (low) horizontal space.

Only downside is the cleaning of the inside if algae grows. Given their durability and tight seal, I'll be buying some anyways

I have been using water bricks for about a year now and they are great. I rinsed mine out with a little bleach and water before storage . I still had a little bit of plastic taste to the water  but it's getting better. Get the spigot that is made for them .

These would be great for apartment living.

I like where you can put them under a bed. Easier to store in small closets also.
