Really nice work on the tin. I definitely like the charred look, very cool. I agree about the practicalities of a basic lighter, easy to use, easy to come by. I think this tin is looking great for back woods/rural locations.

9:40 and you can fit more hooks in the space vs 1 large one 24:02 😀 always helps, sometimes exposes dryer inside of a branch that can be ripped away easy if tinder is harder to find. 25:07 5X7 + 5 outer shell is 40 😀
    Ty for sharing . Love the S.T. 😀 C.R.

I have small hooks in my kit, when I move to the states I will be putting a couple of larger hooks in aswell, fishing is alot different over there. Barbless are nicer on catch and realise fishing

I like the looks of the tins because of the rustic looks, not a fan of shiny looking gear, as gears meant to be used, in regards to the snare wire how stiff is it, as the game keeper I used to work we used to use brass snare wire, for rabbit control for the farmer, so no idea about other types of wire, the saying in regards to hooks "a small hook will catch a big fish, but a big hook will only catch a big fish, I like the addition of the cotton ball fire starters not summit I thought bout putting in my survival tin but I'll need to re think mine lol.

Also the addition of the nails is a good thing you covered all basis with them anyway, gaffer tape also a great addition, if you can't fix it with duct tape your not using enough duct tape lol, the one addition I I would add would be a sterile surgical style blade as better for skinning and fish processing but a bit more hard to use compared to the standard Stanley blade. Glad to see proper paracord in there as well ATB Mike
