Two major problems with this You need a stove and clean water to prepare it. If you are in a real emergency survival situation you are more than likely not going to have a store or a large supply of clean water.

I( have this in my food storage plan. Thanks for reviewing them so i don't have to open one of the buckets.

Off subject , I can tell by holding the O2 removal packet after opening the bag that it did it's job as it should start to warm telling you it did what it was intended to do and stopped the process when all of the O2 was removed leaving nitrogen in the sealed bag. By it heating up after you opened the bag, the packet will start absorbing oxygen again . If it does not warm, the bag was compromised after it was sealed during storage. Excessive mishandling could cause the bag to fail. That bags contents will loose more nutrient value as storage time goes on. Humidity and temperature are also killers of long term food.

    Excellent video. Subscribed.

it should come with a way to heat it up in the package, and the water needed. just saying reconstituted potatoes aren't to good, i would rather eat an MRE

what is the benefit of this vs other prepackaged foods you find in stores? I would think canned foods would be better, since they can be eaten even without a heat source and with a heat source will use far less fuel to heat up… why am i wrong? Besides possibly storage space?

I think that bucket is only gonna last a family of three for a week or two, given they all have 3 square meals a day just like they normally would.

1/4 cup of beef stock and a pinch of granulated garlic in the beef stew … when you added extra mac you needed to add just a bit more water than called for … because the extra mac absorbed more of the liquid.  ; – )  And of course red pepper sauce for me like Franks'   ; – )

Did you see the wife clean up after her man at about 34;00? and not bitch and make him look stupid. Do you wonder why some men go overseas?
There is divorce overseas. Right now there are 400,000 divorced women living in Saudi Arabia. But I guess that the women do not expect too much from their man. And the women are not counting the times that they climax.

Emergency food obviously would taste different than restaurant food..I wouldn't care that much for what is tastes like as long as I am alive and not hungry.  I wouldn't want it to be horrible either tho.

How long does it really take to boil this stuff?

The preparations needs to be more dummy proof.  It should be more like: Boil 1 cup water, remove from stove and add 1/4 cup content.  Stir and cover to allow food to reconstitute for "x" minutes.  Serve and enjoy.

Psst….  Hey, try this…. Get a bunch of KNORR Pasta Sides and Rice Sides… about $1. per bag (2 servings per bag).  Cut a small slice into one side of the bag and slip in, through the cut… a small oxygen absorber.  Press out as much air as you can and tape the cut closed with Duck Tape.  It may not be mylar, but it will last a long, long time (Years).  And the ingredients don't include msg's, soy, etc.  🙂   These expensive "Survival Foods" are really like the KNORR Sides.   Powdered drink mix is powdered drink mix.  Powdered soup is powdered soup. The LDS stores sell "Starter Kits" that are also good.  :-)

Canned chicken, freeze dried beef or stock and a canned ham. More water in the noodle and potato soup.
