Schrade SCHF25 Full Tang Tanto Knife Review – Survival Gear

The Schrade SCHF25 is a full tang knife with a modified Tanto blade of stone washed 9cr18mov steel and G-10 Handle slabs. This would make an excellent wilderness or urban survival knife.

i far prefer knives with slightly rubberized grips. they grip well and absorb shock without being rough on your hands like jimping tends to be.

    Hi friend.

Hmmm. Slabs are loose? Stop hitting your knives with the baton! How about hitting the bottom of the piece of wood you're splitting to properly angle the blade in the round? You're killing me here.

May by if they change a few things like the blade was an inch or more longer and the few problems with the handle grips and a thicker handle not by much but a little thicker, I really like the sheath it looks like it would be hard to lose the knife, but time will tell if the sheath keeps it firmness.

Great knife but I am waiting for the SCHF37. I just purchased two Schrade Old Timers. The Bowie knife, and the Big Timer lockblade. Schrade makes some great knives. Keep up the good work.

    Good review as always Bryan!

I never gave this blade much consideration, but it seems it might be pretty useful for a variety of applications.

Another pretty nice knife from Schrade. Pull the screws out and blue loctiite them and file the spine, if this is ths style that you dig. I like the not full Tanto.. easier sharpening.

Seems to be a more of a tactical knife. I do like the tip design, which I think would look good and function well on a larger survival knife like Schf9. I really like their stone wash finish as well. Wish my f9 had a finish like that. Oh well, now in the process of stripping my f9 and make her look real good! I also plan on etching a Punisher skull on it with Schf9 faintly done behind it. The f9 continues to grow on me….lol

Great review. That might be an all around Hunting knife then a survival knife or combat knife. I like their stone Walsh finish.

I have an SCHF25, I find that the 9Cr18Mov steel holds an edge really well, the blade cuts and pierces very well.
While it would not be my first choise as a survival blade, it seems to me that it was designed more for tactical purposes, for soliders etc. Good review.

This knife could have been a real beaut if the handlescales were something
like those on the SCHF13. What's even worse is that the tang isn't even milled
out so U can forget about any paracordwrapping. Please SCHRADE if U are
Reading this: redesign, with lanyard-hole! :~(

Funny they call it a modified tanto when it is in fact closer to a traditional Japanese tanto then any blade that has the hard secondary point.

I'm looking for help from fellow preppers and survivalists on YouTube.
I started an event called the Prepper Games. You can find out about it on my channel.
I need a few more videos submitted before I lose a sponsor.
Would you be willing to help me spread the word about it?

It's another Schrade Saturday. Today we take a look at the SCHF25 full tang tanto style knife. This is a really solid knife with an extremely useful modified tanto blade and G-10 handle slabs. Please let me know what you think.

Also, I just got a big box of 2015 model knives from Schrade last week, so I plan to continue these Schrade Saturdays for as long as I can. I think you are going to really like what Schrade has in store for next year, I know I do.

Thanks for watching and for all your support!
