Another very cool video….Maybe just me but I would eliminate the charging devices like a re-chargeable flashlight or re-chargeable radio and replace them with good old fashion battery operated devices…I'd also suggest having a mechanical compass in the back pack….

Worst case scenario should be taken into consideration….I've dealt with a summer storm knocking out power for five days which made me re-think how to survive without electricity…..

Imagine if an entire City goes dark or worst, an entire country goes black from an EMP attack or some other attack on major power Grid rendering all electronic devices including cell phones useless….

I wouldn't stick around if I lived in the city I would want to get out of these urban areas ASAP knowing that after a few days/nights without electricity the gangs might begin to group up and attack people at random…..

A Bug out bag should also include a small caliber firearm….

If you have to flee from the urban areas it's best to go to rural areas where your expertise seems to fit right in….No telling how long something like a blackout could last bu tthe sooner the better to get out before Martial Law is enacted….

If you don't get out before hand this could happen before people start to turn on each other just for survival…..

Our own safety and survival depends on our own responsibility not waiting for some form of Government to save us…..

In the United Kingdom, you would probably get at least 10 years in prison if you got caught carrying that backpack.
An ordinary looking pack won't protect you from attention, the police will go through it eventually unless you are very very very lucky.

I've been randomly "stop and search"ed 3 times so far:

One time I was grabbed and searched by 4 plain clothes police who jumped out of an unmarked car at night while I was just walking down the street on my way home from dinner at a friend's place.
I really thought I was being robbed by a gang until one produced a badge.

One time I was caught in a mass search while exiting an underground station.
20 or 30 police were at the top of the escalator and everyone leaving the trains was searched.
There were many more in plain clothes so there is no way to know how many there really were, I was rudely searched by plain clothed police.
I know quite a few people who have gone through that process leaving underground stations

One time I was searched by 2 uniformed police because it was considered suspicious that I was replying to an sms on my phone.

I've seen metal detectors like at airports set up randomly on sidewalks, and everyone who walks down the street is searched in the same way as it's done at an airport.
Fortunately I saw those from a distance and evaded the hassle by taking another path.
I can't remember how many times I've walked by people being randomly searched here, hundreds of times.
There's nothing you can do about it.
They have a terrible success rate catching anyone doing anything illegal, so they are very eager to arrest you if they find anything.

On top of that I've been through quite a few "stop and explain"s going to and from work on my bicycle.
Producing my work ID and telling them they could call to confirm I was expected or had just left kept it from going to the full "stop and search".
"Stop and explain" can go to "stop and search" very easily, and in my experience 3 times there was no "stop and explain" stage.

A Leatherman tool alone will get you 4 years in prison, the locking pocket knife will also get you 4 years in prison.
Possession of any blade which locks is considered a serious criminal offense.
The "tactical" flashlight will not only result in charges for possessing a weapon, but you might also be charged with "going prepared" as it can be used to break glass.
The strobe function on the flashlight will also result in a weapons charge.
The leatherman tool might also attract a charge of "going prepared".
Possession of a shemagh could indicate intent to conceal identity, wearing it in any way to hide your identity could result in charges.
This depends on circumstances, if there is a political demonstration in the area you will probably be arrested.
Alcohol sanitising gel is flammable, it might be considered as evidence of "intent" especially in combination with the super lighter.
Gloves are legal to possess, but you won't leave fingerprints so it could be interpreted as intent to "obstruct justice".
Pepper spray is considered a firearm under UK law, so you will face the same charge as carrying a gun, 10 years in prison.
Possession of a first aid kit with all of the above might be used as evidence of "intent".
Taken together, you are very likely to face terrorism charges.

The pack itself might be legal, but in combination with the rest it might be considered to be an item useful for terrorism.
A spare pair of glasses should be ok.
A glow stick on its own might be ok, but with the rest it might not be.
Food and drink should probably be fine unless you were considered to be planning to eat and drink for purposes of terrorism, and considering the charges so far, this is a distinct possibility.
The pen and paper would probably be fine as long as you haven't written anything which could be interpreted as political.
Tissues might be ok, but they might be considered to be arson materials in concert with the sanitising alcohol gel and lighter.
The MP3 player might be fine, but the recording function could be considered suspect for collecting information possibly to be of use for terrorism.
Any data on the USB drive will be analysed.
The chargers might be fine, but they could be interpreted as items which could possibly be of use for terrorism.
Your phone might be legal, but all your data and communications will be analysed and your friends might be in for some trouble.
Carrying your identification will help the police to process you faster on your way to a very long time in prison.

If you are in in the United Kingdom, this pack advice is a one way ticket to a long life "At Her Majesty's pleasure".

Out of fear of the state, I only carry some tissues, some sanitising gel, a pen, paper, and an extra pair of glasses.
When I'm cycling I also carry a puncture repair kit and a small pump.
For years I always wore a leatherman on my belt and used it daily.
    I miss it.

I love seeing proper urban kits.
so many urban kits you see on youtube are far too tactical and made for the worst of the worst scenarios. This one you showed is much more reasonable to carry around as an average person for an average scenario.
also great choice of bag! too much camo and molly webbing out there today. yours is very low profile and doesn't draw attention.
    love it!

hi Lily, I love your videos they are very informative. I saw that you had hand sanitizer. I was not able to see the labeling but was is it kills 99.9% of of germs or was it 99.9% alcohol. Most people do not know that 100% alcohol does not work as a disinfectant. You need to have a mixture of 60% to 70% alcohol and water to be an effective disinfectant.

Lilly…really like what you do!!!! If you need eye glasses and don't have them, try this…it works! I have done this. Make a blindfold that goes from temple to temple…duct tape folded onto itself so no adhesive is exposed, cut a wedge for your nose…string at each end to hold it onto your head. Put on the blindfold, determine the centre of each eye and mark. Remove the blindfold and make very small pinholes for each eye. Put the blindfold back on and your vision, while not 20/20 will be much improved. This would also be good for snow and sand storms. BTW, I make room in my survival kit for a small roll of duct tape.
