Back it up on a flash drive and computer. I made the mistake of trusting my flash drive, and it broke. I was about 42.000 words, and I don't think I wrote anything for about a month after that.

I don't wear matching socks either. Matching takes too much time and in no way changes how the socks feel when I'm wearing them.

    Yay, Scrivener! Haha.
Last time I tried NaNo I failed pretty spectacularly. Too busy this year to try again.

Awesome tips! I'm watching this twice so I can get a checklist going while I prep for NaNoWriMo!
By the way, I had a quick question: I haven't the foggiest idea how to use those USB things, so would you suggest possibly submitting my work Hotmail's OneDrive program as a good alternative?

    Thanks again for the tips!

Great video! All these NaNoWriMo videos get me even more pumped up for November! All of your survival items are a MUST.
I've been thinking about buying scrivner , but I'm not sure if it's worth it or not.
