MOAK Survival Kit Field Test

http://moakcentral.prepsteadingnetwork.com/products-page/

This is a review and test of the MOAK or Mother of All Kits. I found this to be very space saving, lightweight, and well built. This particular kit can be carried just about anywhere and can even be carried in your vehicle so discretely you can forget its there till you need it. This video was about 9 minutes longer. If you would like to see the full length video follow the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wexVGto-Xd4

I'd love to see you do an actual test like go stay in the woods and prove how good this kit is.

BTW, that rubber tubing isn't "surgical" tubing. For one it's black and surgical tubing is always neutral and the hole is too small. That is power banding used in spear guns. Actually a lot better for the survival applications it is meant for in the kit.

((Not trying to be rude or snarky, just pointing out a SMALL discrepancy. Nothing major.))

I usually find most of the video's here on YouTube that touch on this subject to be boring and predictable. I learned something new on here.

Avoid heavily mined areas, know what was used during the mining periods. I used to find out a lot of info from ADEQ, the Forest Service, and even the Mining offices. Not so much anymore, not sure why because it used to be really easy info to get a hold of.

I just double checked it…not sure what is up with the site. I will contact the owner and see whats up. In fact the guy that does these is on Youtube and is actually the first link in the description box. You can most likely reach him there.

Yes there venomous arachnids in the desert. Its the same thing as building a lean too or debris A frame shelter. In fact the danger is not just in the desert its everywhere that black widows, brown recluse, and even venomous reptiles; just to name a few, would likely be.

Great video man! Loved every piece and bit of it.

But I have a question. Aren't there poisonous arachnids like spiders and scorpions and/or snakes in the desert? You made your shelter on plain ground with one side open. And sleeping like leaves you exposed

It is called Chia. The Latin name is salvia columbariae, at least the wild chia that grows here.

Loved the review. Tons of great ideas. I actually bought 3 items based on this video. The fact that you can use the lid as a shovel is brilliant. Keep up the great work brother!

Why katadyn tabs? They take up to 4 hours to work. There are other chlorine based tabs that work in less than 30 minutes.

My Gor-tex is actually a large long. I was thinking about getting xlarge but seeing how they are already made big to fit over layers of heavy clothing I think I made the right choice.

Thank you, I was having some issues with the camera on this one….more so than normal. Everytime I moved the camera was compensating for what ever reason. I think I fixed the issue and I will be doing more of these as soon as I can finish some more of my obligations.

I like that kit. It's a good size and flexible as far as what it will hold. I especially like the "shovel" feature. I would have to add gloves for my wimpy city-slicker hands 😉

It's good to see you doing an overnight camping video. You haven't done one in awhile.

would be cheaper to make your own kit, this is to bulky, just put items in pack, still have to carry it anyways and could use storage for other stuff
