You my friend are an inspiration!! You are absolutely correct in saying at the end of the day, when you sit back and look at what your hard work has created, it drives you to want to do more and more. Looking forward to seeing the additions to your campsite. OUTSTANDING WORK MY FRIEND!!

Wonderful shelter. I would build some forms with the wood to be able to fill with clay to make adobe bricks or use stones with clay to make a fireplace and extend the shelter up and over the fireplace with a chimney so that it would warm the bricks and rock and also allow a fire even when it is pouring rain outside.

Not a bad shelter but it is one for long term not a short one and as for building it and go home then coming back to it you just better hope that no one else has found it and trashed it But like I said it is for long term like a week or more and as such I would build it larger at lest 6 to 8 and a 1/2 feet tall in front and 4 feet in back and 9 feet long and I would use tarps to go around it before the branch's on and make the platform bed from the wood that you used and take and make the bedding from some old sheets and fell them with pine needles to put my sleeping bag on Now that is a shelter I could live in for a week or more I know cause I did something like it before but I messed up my first time I did not have the tarps and the platform and it rain real hard and I was soaked before morning lol so now I know better Happy Camping   :>

When ILLUMINATI reduce population to 500 millions from 6.5 billions there will be plenty of wood for fires for rest of survivals. Maybe.

great presented guidance, but did somebody thought about, if in UK all 65 millions inhabitants go to little woods we have left, nobody will be able lit the fire in few days.
Theory is great if can be practised ……..

This survival area is awesome. Now when you show how to build a shelter, i might build that in summer. This is good too if you are stranded or lost. Thank you.

i improved it. i cut six sticks and crossed them as done on the thatched side. I tied them together. i made them to fit 3/4 of the open side. I then gathered more thatch. so if its cold and windy i full 3/4 of the gap with cross section and thatch. this makes it much more warm and shields the wind. however i do not tie it down because i kepp it so it only goes on when i is windy or really windy. Please reply as i want to know your opinion as you are the genious that gave me the idea of a hut
