Hey Chris we were talking a while back about my edc if you remember if you don't that's fine. I just now got to answering your question about what environment I live in. You said you could help me on suggestions of my edc. I love in a rural environment but I spend most of my time in an urban area. If you have any suggestions that would be amazing beyond measure. Just if you want to though and I know I'm replying late but thanks if you read this

Hand crank isn't the way to go, at all. I have hand crank items but they are for an absolute emergency, the ones you have here you are saying they are your primary flashlights? Just let your hand crank lights run flat of battery, and see how long it really takes to even light for 10 minute straight when cranking, it will take at least 5 minutes of pure energy, energy you want to preserve in an emergency situation.

I would say get a torch which runs off rechargable 18650 batteries, and then get a backpacking solar charger (I recommend the Goal Zero Nomad 13.5), and a battery pack (I recommend the Sherpa 50 which can charge USB, and car charger which is very important), and then get a 18650 charger and run the whole circuit, the solar panel doesn't need to be on direct sunlight, just being in the sun for a hour packing electricity will charge the batteries.

Cool video, if I were you I would check out the lightweight MSR tent stakes though, pretty durable and probably way lighter than those steel ones… Remember, ounces = pounds, pounds = pain!!! Good luck man, keep the videos coming!

Hi Chris. Great start on your gear, especially loving the BK9, which I run with a Mora as well, but I use the LuightMy Fire Mora. For the light, look into the Wakawaka powered and recharges via USB anything you need charged.

You should give an update and thoughts on the condor bag down the road. I've had my eye on it for a while.

Hi Chris. I'm looking forward to seeing how this evolves. I hope to see some field test videos this spring, as I hope to find time to test and evaluate my gear. Best of luck!
